Tinariwan
A circular journey through the Sahara, commencing in Bamiko, Mali, travelling up to the Algerian border and culminating at the "Festival au Desert', Timbuktu. The aim of the expedition, to bring together from far-flung settlements in the Sahara, the disbanded members of a very special group of previous freedom fighters in the Mali Civil War, turned musicians, known internationally as "Tinariwen".
