SpACE-Net Workshop – submission deadline extended to 10 December

The deadline for submission to the SpACE-Net call for audio works has been extended to Monday 10th December.
Selected works will be performed at the next SpACE-Net International Spatial Audio Workshop Wednesday 23rd January 2008, at the Music Research Centre (MRC), University of York, York, UK. The full text of the call for works can be found at http://space-net.org.uk/callforworks08.
The theme for the workshop is “5.1 Surround-sound: Opportunity or Constraint?”
We are pleased to announce two keynote speakers for the day:
* Jean-Marc Jot –head of Creative's 3D audio R&D at Creative Advanced Technology Center, California
* Chris Watson – sound recordist and artist ; "Chris Watson is to radio wildlife programme making what David Attenborough is to television - BBC Radio Times"
We are also extending the deadline for posters/papers for presentation at the workshop. All presentations relating to spatial audio research will be considered". Post-graduate students are particularly encouraged to apply.
