Senior developer for EASAIER project, position with Centre for Digital Music, Queen Mary, London

Full-time Senior Developer for the EU Research Project, EASAIER (Enabling Access to Sound Archives through Integration, Enrichment and Retrieval)

The Centre for Digital Music at Queen Mary, University of London is one of the world’s leading research teams specialising in Music Informatics, and DSP for Music and Audio. The Centre is leading the EU funded research project entitled EASAIER, Enabling Access to Sound Archives through Integration, Enrichment and Retrieval. We are currently accepting applicants for a full-time research position as Senior Developer on the project.

The appointee will contribute tools and components to the software system that is being developed and will be deployed in sound archives across Europe. You will also interact with international experts in the fields of music and speech processing and retrieval, semantics and ontologies, musicology, and digital libraries.

Applicants should have experience in software development, DSP research and audio. Work hours are flexible and telecommuting/working from home on occasion is acceptable.

Salary will be up to £28,490 per annum inclusive on Grade 4RES
The successful applicant should be able to start around 1st March 2007.
